Charity Partners

JBF San Diego is proud to partner with three charities for our fall sale event.

Birthline of San Diego was founded by Catherine Ewers, a married mother living in San Diego in 1979. She founded Birthline as a non-profit organization dedicated to helping mothers in times of crisis to make "life" an option. She developed a program by which she could give women the resources needed to carry their baby to term, and either parent or opt for adoption upon the birth of her child.  Birthline is a crisis oriented program which provides emotional support, material assistance and referrals to other community resources for any pregnant woman, as well as women and single fathers with small children. We at Birthline recognize that choices made regarding an unplanned pregnancy can have a life long effect on all of those involved.  As a result, our counselors offer practical assistance and refferals to support them in their decisions. Birthline has beautiful choices to offer. Choices that will benefit not only the parents, but the child as well.  www.birthlineofsandiego.org

Gently Hugged provides packages of clothing and blankets essential for the first year of life to newborns in need throughout San Diego County.  www.gentlyhugged.org

Founded in 1970, Family Health Centers of San Diego is dedicated to providing caring, affordable, high-quality health care and support services to all people, with a special commitment to the uninsured, low-income and medically underserved. We are the largest community clinic provider of health care to the uninsured in Southern California and one of the top 10 largest community clinic organizations in the country.  Our Baby Boutique program was founded to encourage new and expecting moms to follow through with important wellness checkups and attend classes that teach the basics of infant care, including breastfeeding and nutrition. For every pre- and postnatal appointment or class they complete, parents can redeem “Baby Buck Points” at Baby Boutique locations for baby clothes, supplies, children’s books and toys. This innovative program was founded in 2010 as an initiative to encourage new moms to complete their postpartum care, while helping those that struggle to meet their baby’s needs.  www.fhcsd.org
